Code restructuring and improvements
We have completely rewritten the Cookie Consent banner code from scratch. It is now more structured and includes some developer-level functionality as well as more customization options.
Added:
- Events for cookie banner actions (accept, reject, cookie categories, etc.)
- Google Tag Manager events (to add/block third-party scripts via Google Tag Manager)
- Translatable cookie descriptions and cookie categories
- Custom CSS option (only for paid memberships)
Updated:
- Complete re-build of Cookie Banner source code from the ground
- Full Internet Explorer compatibility for versions 9+
- Cookie scanner: added possibility to scan subfolders or separate pages
- Possibility for different banners running for a different location (ex: one banner for EU, another for California)
- Minor bugfixes
- For any banners created before the update, you need to re-save the Cookie-Script item to re-generate Cookie Banner code (or click the Update All button in your account)
